This event is part of a series of events in celebration of Earth Day. The tree planting will be at the Valle Vista Boys and Girls Club, 8 Las Lomas Drive, Santa Fe NM 87508. Santa Fe County has sent an invitation to all students and families to join in a planting event from 9 a.m. SFCC County invites students and families to May 7 planting event Stop by this week to see the exhibition this week. Special guests in attendance for the opening included: Superintendent of Santa Fe Public Schools Larry Chavez, Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Schools Michael Hagele, Santa Fe Public School Board Member Carmen Gonzales, Art Education Coordinator, Santa Fe Public Schools Cristina Gonzalez, SFCC President Becky Rowley, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Margaret Peters, Dean of Liberal Arts and School of Art and Design James Wysong and Assistant Dean of Liberal Arts and School of Art and Design Shalimar Krebs. Director of Art on Campus Linda Cassel said, “It was a success for our first year and will be bigger and better next year.” Thank you to SFCC Foundation for support with the awards. There was a strong showing for this first juried high school art exhibition. Dean Wysong congratulates Max Tischler of The Masters Program for Best of Show.
